Dr. and Mrs. Berliner opened the Chestatee Emergent Medical Care Center in Dawsonville, Georgia in May, 2002. When Dr. Berliner started his practice he was determined to provide medical care at a reasonable price whether his patients had health insurance or not. This determination resulted in what he calls Boutique Healthcare for the Community. He provides his Boutique Healthcare at a flat rate, with all in-house services for an annual fee of $550, or a low $50 office visit with access to walk-in urgent care, ala-cart cash services (at patient-doctor discretion), open access, no appointments and no private insurance. Dr. Berliner is a dedicated family man (married, 4 kids) and an IJF-A Judo Referee (Paris 1996), 7th Dan. He travels quite a bit overseas and domestically for his work as Judo Referee, having travelled to Athens & Beijing Paralympics as well as touring Greece and China (while there as referee) with his family. He refereed for Junior World competition in Tunisia 1999, Bangkok 2008, Senior World’s in Munich 2001, the Judo A circuit and New York Open most every year since 1996. In 2009 he hit the Grand Prix Judo circuit.

As you might guess he generally works too much, but enjoys life, a lot. He also enjoys hunting and fishing (for the table not the wall), hiking, kayaking, scuba, sailing and surfing (not much sailing or surfing these days but every once in a while…)

Kim has been working at Chestatee Emergent Medical Care since 2005. Kim grew up in Western NY moved to Dawsonville in 2000. She’s married with 2 children that keep her busy. Kim graduated from Lanier Tech in 2006 as a medical assistant and passed her exam to be a Registered Medical Assistant soon after. Kim loves to travel back to NY as aften as she can to visit family and friends. She enjoys her work at the clinic and the people she works with.

Amber has been working at Chestatee Emergent Medical Care since 2007as a Certified Medical Assistant. Amber is from Dahlonega. She got married in May 2009 and has a daughter on the way due December 2011. She graduated from Lanier Tech in December 2006 and enjoys working at Chestatee Emergent Medical Care. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family (especially her dog), shopping, and traveling.

Michael has been working at Chestatee Emergent Medical Care since 2007 and has been in the medical field for 9 years as a Certified Nurse Assistant. He graduated from Lanier Tech in 2004. Mike grew up in Forsyth County, Georgia. He moved to Dawson County in 2005 and bought a house. Mike married his beautiful wife, Jennifer, in 2007. He is a 12 year old cancer survivor and enjoys taking care of others. He likes yard work and spending time with family.

Holly has been working at Chestatee Emergent Medical Care since 2008. Holly is from Wisconsin, but has been living in Georgia the past 8 years. She graduated from North Georgia College & State University with a Bachelor’s in Pyschology in December 2008. She plans to pursue a Master’s in Community Counseling in the future. She enjoys shopping, spending time with her family and friends, and playing with her puppies.

Rose has been working at Chestatee Emergent Medical Care since 2010. Rose is from Dawsonville, where she grew up. She graduated from Gainesville State College in 2007 with an Associates Degree of Science in Pre-Nursing then graduated from Lanier Tech in 2008 as a Medical Assistant. In her free time she loves spending time with her niece, Kyra, family and friends, and enjoys clogging with her team, Power Taps, in Holly Springs, GA.

Kirsty is our newest employee, she started after finishing her externship in February 2011. She is a graduate from American Professional Institute where she received her diploma and state certification as a Medical Assistant. She is a mother of two wonderful children and enjoys spending all the time she can with family and friends. She enjoys being outdoors and adventurous.

Sandy has been working at Chestatee Emergent Medical Care since 2010. Sandy Wyatt graduated Nursing Program in 1995. Originally from Florida, moved to GA in 2003 and started working for doc intermittently since 2004. Enjoys being social and spending time with her family.

Amber has been working at our office since 2010. She was born in Texas and started her college education at University of Texas-Austin. Hook ‘Em Horns! Amber starts nursing school at North Georgia in the Fall 2011 with a minor in Spanish. She loves reading, wakeboarding, and spending time with her fiance’ and 2 dogs-Dill and Bear.
